Covered Chaplaincy is led by a dedicated group of local volunteers from the Bedford community. Together, they steer the organization towards the founder's vision of providing vital pastoral services to first responders and the greater central Virginia region.

As the board president and the lead chaplain, Mike is blessed to have this team supporting him. He welcomes their leadership and considers them dear friends, as well as colleagues.

Al Robey

Al is a long-time Bedford resident. An Air Force veteran, Al is known by many as a jack of all trades. He is deeply involved in God's Pit Crew, a crisis response team that mobilizes aid to natural disasters worldwide. He and his wife Janet are happily retired, but not slowing down in the least. They enjoy camping, and traveling to visit family and friends.

Samantha Simmons

Samantha is the owner of S&S Services, a local Bedford business offering bookkeeping, budgeting, and light administrative services to individuals and businesses. With a passionate entrepreneurial spirit, Samantha brings energy and innovation to all she does. She and her husband Stephen have two boys and enjoy spending time with them, their dogs, ducks, and chickens.
John Pennington

John is enjoying retirement with his wife Kathy in the beautiful Bedford countryside. He is the founder and owner of All-in-Surance and specialized in training insurance agents to maximize their growth potential. A devout man of faith, he is a Godly mentor to many.
Todd Foreman

Todd is the former Chief of Police for the Town of Bedford and a longtime resident of the community. He is currently the Director of Law Enforcement Outreach for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. Todd is also very active in missionary work to Nicaragua and Guatamala annually.
